Near-miss Definition
Any incident where no injury and ill health occurs but has the potential to do so.
Examples of a near miss include:
- Electrical short circuit or overload causing fire or explosion
- Collapse or partial collapse of any structure
- A motor vehicle incident resulting in damage to the vehicle
- Human aggression
- Collapse of any building or structure
